From her investment to our legacy
In 2006, my mother bought a cabin just outside of Idlewild, on land that had long been tied to the Idlewild area before later zoning changes placed it within Baldwin.
For our family, that purchase became more than property. It connected us to a community rooted in Black history, ownership, recreation, resilience, and generations of memories.
Years later, I bought my own land in Idlewild. HoneyComb Hideaway is the next chapter of that story.
What started with my mother's decision to invest in land is growing into a place where families, couples, creatives, and travelers can rest, reconnect, experience Idlewild, and make memories of their own.
This isn't just a place we're building. It's a legacy we're continuing.
